Once the trailer is in the Renter’s possession, the Renter assumes full responsibility for the trailer, its contents, and any associated equipment. Sleeping Around RV Rentals is not responsible for any mechanical failures, accidental damage, or equipment malfunctions that occur during the rental period unless directly caused by prior negligence or failure to maintain the trailer.

In the event that any part of the trailer or included amenities (including, but not limited to appliances, plumbing, electronics, awnings, etc.) break, malfunction, or become inoperable during the rental, Sleeping Around RV Rentals is not liable for refunds, replacements, or compensation. The Renter is responsible for notifying us immediately of any issues, and for taking reasonable steps to prevent further damage.

The Renter agrees to use the trailer responsibly and follow all operational instructions provided. The Renter is financially responsible for any damage, loss, or required repairs resulting from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow instructions.

Should any damage occur while in renters’ possession you agree to notify Tina or Cory immediately so repairs can be scheduled. Repairs must not be done by the renter unless authorized by Sleeping Around RV Rentals. Damage that will exceed your deposit will result in a charge to the credit card on file until estimates/insurance claims are approved.

Trailers often have a one day turn around and any damages and/or late returns may affect other renters. Negligent and unreported damage and delays could be subject to additional charges.

Awning must be retracted in windy and heavy rain conditions and anytime you are away from the trailer. Awnings can be sloped on one side to direct the rainfall. Damage caused by wind or fire/sparks are the responsibility of the renter. You must sweep off the awning of debris before retracting. Brooms are provided.

Sheets, pillows, blankets, toilet paper and towels are not provided. Please bring your own bedding and towels.

Do not place any large, loose or sharp objects on the counters, floors or shower while traveling and no sharp objects in the sink. Coolers, generators, gas cans etc. must be transported in your truck bed. Do not put sway bars/hitches in the storage compartments.

In the extremely unlikely event that the trailer becomes unavailable, effecting your rental, due to excessive damage from another party we reserve the right to substitute a comparable trailer. Every effort will be made to accommodate you accordingly or a refund will be provided.

Generators are recommended unless you have electrical hook-ups. Draining RV batteries reduces their lifespan. Please note that electrical outlets, AC, microwaves do not work without shore power or a generator.

For dry camping (without electrical hookups) please know that the slides, awnings and electric jacks require sufficient battery to close them! In the event that the batteries are completely drained you will require a source of electricity to pull them in. If we are picking up a trailer and we are unable to pull in the slide/awning/jacks there will be a fee.

Although optional, we recommend having a BCAA RV Roadside assistance policy, especially for trips outside the lower mainland. In the event the trailer needs to be towed this will be the responsibility of the renter.

RV is to be driven on well maintained roads only. No pothole or dirt roads without prior consent.

All incurred costs for abandonment of the RV, regardless of reason, will be the responsibility of the renter.

Black tanks must always be left in the closed position until ready to dump. This includes with septic hook-ups. Do NOT dump black tank daily. Ample liquid is required as well as chemicals in order to function properly. Chemicals are provided by us.

No subletting of the trailers. Only the person listed on the contract may tow the trailer and must remain with the trailer throughout the duration of the contract unless prior arrangements have been made.

Wiring on your vehicle must be checked before picking up your RV! All trailers come with a standard round 7 pin plug. Ensure all connections are working. Trailers will not be released without all required lights functioning. Testers can be purchased at Auto Part Stores that will plug into your hitch. Alternatively, you can make an appointment (N/C) to come by to check your vehicle.

If you have a spare tire or other aftermarket item on the rear of your vehicle please ensure that it will not interfere with the hitch.

Renter must be aware of their vehicles towing capacity, payload, and ensure their towing lights are in good working order prior to arrival.

Sleeping Around RV Rentals is not responsible for any transmission, engine or other vehicle problems.

When emptying holding tanks pull/push VERY gently, straight out/in, to avoid bending or breaking the aluminum shafts. Two hands should be used to do this. They are very delicate. Keep in mind some trailers have two grey tanks, each with their own pull handle.

We recommend reading the manual that is provided with the trailer.

Any infractions or damages involving the rental will be the responsibility of the renter and will be deducted from the damage deposit and/or credit card. In the event of major damage (exceeding the damage deposit) to the trailer a charge will be placed on your credit card for the estimated costs of repair.
